The bottles are now made from 100% recycled polyethylene terephthalate (rPET), excluding the cap and label. This initiative aims to significantly reduce plastic waste, with PepsiCo pledging to use 50% rPET across all beverage bottles by 2030. Aquafina's purification process, known as Hydro-7, involves reverse osmosis and other filtering methods to remove impurities.
